Everyone feels bad sometimes. But if the heavy feeling has stayed for a long time, or grown so big that everyday life is hard, you deserve support.
You might feel
- Worry that won't let go, or a racing heart without knowing why.
- That you can't face things you used to enjoy.
- That you sleep too much or too little.
- That you want to be left alone all the time – or can't stand being alone.
You are not weak
Feeling bad isn't something you chose, and it's nothing to be ashamed of. It's your body and mind saying something needs to change.
What can help
- Say it out loud to someone. Sharing the heavy stuff often makes it a little easier to carry.
- Small steps count. Shower, go outside for ten minutes, eat something. That's not little – it's a lot.
- Get care if it doesn't pass. Youth clinics and health centres are there for you. You can also call 1177.
Are you thinking about taking your life? You are not alone, and help exists right now. Call 90101 (the Suicide Line) or 112 in an emergency.
